Hi Max – thanks for your message. I’m sorry but at this moment in time you either have all your popup windows on exit or entry. There is no system in place to determine if someone has subscribed to your list then not to show them the popup window again. A stop bugging me button sounds like an interesting idea. These are all things we’ll be looking for solutions to in future versions of the plugin. All the best!

Hi Brian,
I know this can run sort of like an auto responder in the pro version, however is there only one instance of OptinPop that can run at once. From looking at the video you could choose on exit, on entry, etc – they are different things. Can I run one instance for people entering, a different instance for people exiting. Also, does OptinPop stop bugging people if they select “stop bugging me” option on the form, or if the cookie says they have already filled out?

it ALMOST works.

1) i originally auto installed the plugin from WP.
* this created a folder named “optinpop-popup-blocker” ( not those exact words ) which INSTEAD SHOULD BE “optinpop”

2) the pop now works ( on Page Load ) But when i set it to “Show on Exit” it opens the popup when i roll into the page or when i roll over a tab. IT SHOULD ONLY popup when the user CLICKS the “X” tab or browser.

can this code be updated for better usability??

Hi Canton – Interesting observation. I don’t think it’s failing if you’ve successfully tested the plugin to appear immediately on entry. Every setting change should work if this initial test works.

Bare in mind the cookie is placed based on the site visit and not per page. So as soon as they arrive at the site (on any page) the cookie is placed in their browser.

Instead of having a delay why not have it appear immediately? why wait?

Because the popup window is not connected to the optin form and everyone uses a different autoresponder form set up this isn’t something we’ve decided to add. If it was possible it would require you to add some code we give you to your optin form which further complicates something we’re trying to keep as simple as possible.

Hi,does this sound like an accurate description of how the plugin might fail to display?

1) plugin settings are show once to each visitor in 30 days, and only after a 10 second delay
2) go to the home page
3) before the 10 seconds are up, go to a second page, and sit there for 20 seconds.

result: I’m a first time visitor, but I don’t get an invitation.

It seems like the cookie is set whether or not the delay elapses and the optin form displays.

Suggestion: some way to have the cookie only get set when the optin form displays. Otherwise, setting the time limit is a guaranteed way to make sure that lots of people never get the optin!

Hey guys
I got it working but my actual page is way too big for the window. I know that is probably my HTML problem, but I am not technical at all!
How do I get my page to fit in the window?
I already took the dimensions in my HTML source page and matched them to the optin configuration dimensions, but it stll doesn’t fit??
